Dr. Pitambar Gautam worked as Project Leader and was responsible for study design, project implementation, supervision, data analysis and report writing.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

This was a support project to the Poverty Alleviation Project in Western Terai Districts implemented by the Ministry of Local Development with IFAD's financial assistance. The main objective of the project were to develop and introduce a participatory development methodology, operational methodology and targeting mechanism for poverty alleviation and to improve the household food and income security situation through the active participation of poor. The project activities were implemented in four VDCs of the Mid and Far Western Development Regions.
