NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Dadeldhura is one of the 12 districts where ADB funded Crop Diversification Project was executed by the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The project aimed to increase farmers’ income by promoting production and marketing of agricultural crops with a particular focus on secondary crops in the project areas. One of the project components was to promote the use of Private Extension Services Providers (including NGOs and CBOs) to strengthen farmers’ groups and provide agricultural extension services for them. CEAPRED was responsible for social mobilization and delivery of agricultural extension activities at the pocket level to develop market-led activities through farmers’ group approach. |
