Ms. Sumita Pradhan, Program Coordinator was responsible for the overall implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project activities.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The main objective of the program was to empower livelihoods of the marginal and disadvantaged women’s groups (Dalit, Non-Dalit and Mixed including widows) by increasing their income from vegetable cultivation and small livestock raising. The Program was implemented in eight VDCs of Lalitpur district with groups already formed by by Society for Empowerment – Nepal (STEP – Nepal) and Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO), two partner NGOs of LWF Nepal. CEAPRED has provided training and technical support to the existing groups to promote Income Generation Activities (kitchen gardening, semi-commercial vegetable farming and small livestock raising) for increasing income for sustainable livelihood.
