At present, nearly 38 full-time staff, excluding local-level support personnel, are engaged in various developmental activities of CEAPRED. Half majority (over 50%) of these staff are serving in the field. About 26 percent of the staff are female and 20 percent are from minority groups. Additionally, the Center maintains a roster of various professionals and experts in multiple areas and their services are utilized as and when necessary.

Mr. Jaya Mukunda Khanal is a devoted leader with more than 30 years of outstanding career with the Government of Nepal. Until recently, he served as the Secretary of Ministry of Defense - the last position he occupied before retiring from Government service. Other important positions he held in the past include the Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture Development and Secretary of Ministry of Industry. Receiving widespread recognition and respect for his work in all of the above capacities; he has been a solid example of an excellent leader from the way he led all the development projects and networking, monitoring and coordination that came along with it.

Mr. Keshab Datta Joshi is a farming systems specialist with demonstrated expertise in program development and management of operations. With more than 35 years of experience including 15 years with Nepal government, 3 years with Save the Children US, 7 years with GTZ, 10 years with SNV, Mr. Joshi has been providing his service at CEAPRED since 2013. His career includes work in the areas of project designing & management, farming systems research and development, networking and coordination, participatory PME, capacity development for improving service delivery, value chain development, mainstreaming GESI, and training and facilitation.

Mr. Pandey is an agriculture economist with extensive work experience in areas of planning, monitoring & evaluation, food & nutrition security, climate change adaptation etc., His professional association has been with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development for almost three decades where he served as a Joint Secretary and was also a Planning Chief, Deputy Director General (Planning and Management), and Acting Director General. He also has experience working with UN WFP Nepal and has worked as Chief of Export Promotion of Agriculture Commodities, Project Director of GAFSC funded and World Bank supervised Agriculture and Food Security Project, and Chief of Central Agriculture Laboratory.Mr. Pandey has also served in INGOs and worked as a freelance consultant.
