At present, nearly 200 full-time staff, excluding local-level support personnel, are engaged in various developmental activities of CEAPRED. Large majority (over 90%) of these staff are serving in the field. About 28 percent of the staff are female and 35 percent are from minority groups. Additionally, the Center maintains a roster of various professionals and experts in multiple areas and their services are utilized as and when necessary.

Mr. Bed Bhattarai has been providing his service at CEAPRED since Sept 2022 as a member & Advisor, and from Jan 2023 as Executive Director. He is former secretary (2013-2021) of the National Human Rights Commission, a constitutional body of Nepal, where he served 16 years for the promotion and protection of human rights as regional director, director, spokesperson; NPD of UNDP and EC-NHRC Projects. Besides, he led the commission for one and half year. He served as a lecturer in TU-colleges for 7 years, as a manager in public corporations for 10 years. He is an advocate and member of NBA. In 2014, he was acknowledged for his strong leadership by UN-OHCHR ICC SCA, Geneva and by Finnish High Level Decision Makers’ Mission; in 2021 by Resident Representative of UNDP for his strong and able leadership. He won a cash prize in 2014 from GoN, received appreciation letters for excellent financial regularities among all ministries, government entities and constitutional bodies in the year 2014, 2018 and 2019.
