Meetings and Partnership between Government Agencies

On 17th Feb, 2022, an interaction workshop with government agencies and stakeholders related to the development and marketing of indigenous seed and spice crops was organized at Siddhartha Cottage Lalitpur.

The major objective of the event was to share the “Speed for Life” project progress and learnings in the sector and to discuss potential collaboration for the conservation, multiplication and marketing of indigenous seed and spice crops with high market value.

 

The event was graced by participatory discussion and way forward by various concerned stakeholders from different Government agencies including SQCC, National Gene Bank-NARC, National Centre for Potato, Vegetable and Spice Crop Development, private seed companies, NGOs, Seed Cooperatives and agriculture universities. The event also witnessed a question/answer and discussion session, where numerous recommendations and suggestions were received.
