Ms. Sumita Pradhan, Program Coordinator, was responsible for the overall implementation, supervision and monitoring of the project activities.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The main objective of the program was to empower the marginal and disadvantaged women’s groups (Dalit, Non-Dalit and Mixed including widows) by increasing their income from vegetable cultivation and small livestock raising. The Program was implemented in five VDCs of Lalitpur district by organizing focus groups and strengthening their structures (CBOs/Groups). The project also aims to empower focus group for advocacy on their rights to land, food, water and other resources as well as to increase access to and control over means of sustainable livelihoods.
