Mr. Hira Mani Adhikary worked as Project Leader and was responsible for designing study, analysis data and writing report.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The study was carried out in Sindhupalchowk district to facilitate Tuki Association of Sunkoshi (TASK), a local non governmental organisation based at Lamosangu of Sindhupalchowk district and User Group Support Program (UGS) of SDC on identifying agriculture related income generating activities and providing baseline information for policy formulation options and future programs in 30 VDCs of the district. The specific objectives of the study include identifying pocket areas for fresh vegetables, vegetable seeds, livestock and horticultural crop production taking into account the available bio-physical environment such as altitude, climate, labor, skill and market outlets, briefing TASK on the findings, assessing their existing skills and recommending training needs to implement such programs.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED

CEAPRED provided Project Leader, support staff and logistic support to the Project. The following activities were undertaken:
