NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
| The major objective of the project was to reduce poverty through sustainable increase in income. The project focused on expanding the production and sale of high-value agricultural products, promotion of savings and credit groups, cooperatives for agriculture marketing and dairy development, promotion of non-timber forest products (NTFP), improvement of nutritional status of the pre-school children and promotion of women's economic empowerment activities. |
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES PROVIDED
| The staff of CEAPRED sensitized and motivated the farmers to form production groups for the production and marketing of high value cash crops. The staff also gave training to the members of production groups and cooperatives on production planning, post harvest handling and marketing management. The overall responsibilities of CEAPRED include group formation, training, planning, networking of groups and strengthening of the cooperatives. |
