Scaling of GESI Responsive Agroecological Solutions and  Springshed Management  initiative being implemented by CEAPRED in Surkhet, Salyan, Dailekh, Rasuwa, Kavre and Khotang  is part of ICIMOD’s  multi-country program named “The Himalayan Resilience Enabling Action Programme (HI-REAP), which is funded by the Uk's Foreign, Commonweath and Development Office (FCDO).  This initiative is implemented in partnership with  ICIMOD to promote  nature- based solutions (NbS) aiming to ensure communities are better prepared to cope with shocks and more able to adapt to change.

The HI-REAP's NbS activities will add value by adding some scalable solutions to address the issue of food insecurity with multiple supplementary benefits such as protecting and enhancing natural resources and agrobiodiversity while addressing climate and socio-economic risks being faced by agroecology in mountain areas. The focus of HI-REAP will be on conducting action research, piloting or field demonstration of different   solutions developed through RMS,  Himalica, and GRAPE.
