CEAPRED Celebrated its 34th Anniversary

On April 25, 2025, the Centre for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED) celebrated its 34th Annual Day with an enthusiastic gathering, highlighting more than three decades of meaningful contributions to Nepal’s agricultural and environmental development. Since its establishment on April 23, 1991, CEAPRED has played a pivotal role in advancing poverty reduction, food security, and the empowerment of marginalized groups.

Upholding its tradition, the organization held this year’s celebration at its premises, joined by executive members, general members, and staff. The event served as both a moment of reflection on past achievements and a platform to deliberate on future directions. Though informal in nature, the gathering carried a spirit of encouragement and solidarity, especially in light of current challenges.

Executive Director Jaya Mukunda Khanal welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support to CEAPRED. He highlighted the organization's successes. Furthermore, he urged everyone to raise their professional standards in order to make CEAPRED more active in the changing development landscape. The valuable suggestions shared by attendees toward ensuring CEAPRED’s sustainability and growth were deeply appreciated.

In her remarks, the Vice-Chairperson acknowledged the difficult phase the organization is navigating, yet expressed hope for brighter days ahead. She urged everyone to continue giving their best efforts to support CEAPRED’s mission and resilience.
