Nepal Agricultural Markets Development Programme (NAMDP) Launched
Nepal Agriculture Market Development Programme (NAMDP) phase II also known as “ Sahaj” has been launched to strengthen agri-business in 14 districts of province-1. The project is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and implemented by a consortium of Swiss Contact (as lead) and Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED). The project is being implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives. It is a four years programme started in Nov 2020 and running until Nov 2024. The program will support towards services and innovations for agri-business and focus on strengthening forward market linkages and expanding segments of vegetables, maize, cardamom and dairy value chains.
